Beautiful hand marbled paper in the classic drops design. Perfect for stationery crafts, bookbinding, luxury gift wrapping, or simply to frame – the possibilities are endless. Each sheet has been designed by hand using hand made tools with a 17th century technique on acid-free and individually unique pieces.

The technique used to create the marbling requires great skill and precision, and has been used in Italy since the 17th century. A basin is filled with a thick, vegetable-based liquid, and its surface is sprinkled with different colours. The craftsman creates patterns with these colours using combs, and then gently places the paper on the surface of the liquid without moving the design. It only takes a few seconds for the paper to absorb the colours, then the decoration is complete and the colours are immediately dry.
